Community of Compassion Fund



THE COMMUNITY OF COMPASSION FUND

PURPOSE

The purpose of The Community of Compassion Fund shall be to provide financial assistance to families in Carroll County, Maryland who are dealing with the catastrophic illness or injury of a family member, as the result of disease, accident, fire or man made or natural disaster. Such payments may include but are not limited to payments of uninsured medical expenses, cost of daily living for the family, including housing and transportation as well as convalescent and rehabilitation care for the patient.


GRANT SELECTION CRITERIA

1. The patient must be a Carroll County Maryland resident or have a strong connection to the county;

2. The patient must have a diagnosis of a serious illness or injury,

3. Grants may be made for or on behalf of the patient or the family,

4. Grants may be made for the cost of uninsured medical expenses, cost of living expenses for the patient and family and the cost of convalescent and rehabilitation care for the patient. 5. Grants may be made to Non Profit Organizations providing services to patients who meet the criteria described above.
